CARYCHARLES.COM:  SITE DESIGN AND ALL CONTENTS: COPYRIGHT 1981-2010 CARY CHARLES. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.

Born in the UK during 1969, Cary first exhibited and sold at a 'Save The Children' exhibition at Winchcombe's Kenulf Gallery, aged seventeen - he was one of only two to sell on preview night. He has since fulfilled many commissions and promotes an open, inspiration-driven approach to artistic development which incorporates both theoretical and practical dimensions of art history alongside his ongoing fascination with altered states.

Particular areas of interest include fluctuations in the subjective nature of consciousness and how these define personal and global narratives, Cubism, geometric abstraction and illumination.

His career also included co-founding and co-directing Chenara from 1991-93 - a meditation and complimentary therapy centre. A very simple book of guided meditations followed, alongside digital imagining and healthcare - with orthodox experience clarifying the incredible powers of the mind. Now living in Somerset, he continues to paint, explore consciousness and travel in pursuit of inspiration.
